Get to know Neutral Bay

Neutral Bay is a harbourside suburb on the lower North Shore located 5 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district.

The suburb boasts a number of high end restaurants, fashion boutiques, cafes and quality shops which stretch along Military road. One of the main shopping centres along Military Road is the Big Bear shopping centre which features a large supermarket and a variety of grocery shops.

Because of its close proximity to the city, Neutral Bay has great transport links including two ferry wharfs – The Neutral Bay wharf and the Kurraba wharf which is just a short ride to the city. The Warringah Freeway runs along the western border of Neutral Bay, providing links south to the Sydney CBD and north to Chatswood. There is also regular route servicing the area along Military Road.

The area offers a wide range of schools including Neutral Bay Public School, Mosman High School, North Sydney Boys' and Girls' selective high schools, and a range of private schools including S.C.E.G.G.S, Queenwood, Scots College, Wenona and Monte St Angelo.

The suburb also has number beautiful parks and recreation facilities with breath taking views of the harbor. One of the main facilities is the Neutral Bay Club which offers a tennis and bowls club, bistro and sports bar situated next to Ilbery Reserve in the centre of Neutral Bay.
