The suburb of Mascot is located 7km south of the Sydney CBD. It’s on the North-west side of Botany Bay and contains Sydney airport in its precinct and in recent years has undergone massive dense multi-storey apartment developments. The population of Mascot in the 2016 census was 14,722. Of occupied private dwellings in Mascot, 21.1% were owned outright, 28.4% were owned with a mortgage and 47.5% were rented.

It’s a popular choice amongst young professionals and the perfect location for easy access to the city, beach and its extensive range of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Much of the suburb is undergoing a revitalisation as a result of the green square developments and the streetscape is changing rapidly.

Mascot Public School is a primary school in King Street and J. J. Cahill Memorial High School is located in Sutherland Street are amongst the many schools in the area. St Therese School Mascot is also located in Sutherland Street.
