Moving In/Connecting Utilities
When moving into a rental property you need to connect the following utilities; Electricity, Gas & Telephone (if applicable).

Moving in costs
You will in most cases be liable for the following fees;
- Rent - one month payable in advance
- Lease Preparation fee
- 4 x weeks rent as a residential bond (held at the rental bond board)
- OR 6 x weeks rent as a residential bond (for furnished apartments ONLY)
Rental calculation
Example: $500pw divided by 7 days = $71.43 per day x by 365 days = $26071.43 divided by 12 months = $2172.62 payable per month by you.

Reference code - must be used with every payment you make so that we can identify your payments – this can be found on the front page of your lease agreement.
Repairs Procedure
For all maintenance issues, you will need to inform your property manager in writing. Please click on the repair form below and complete all details so that we can take action for you as promptly as possible.
If your repair is urgent then call the office immediately. If you are unable to reach someone in the office due to after hours calling - then please refer to your lease agreement to ascertain if it is an urgent repair or not.
If a repair is not deemed urgent by the residential tenancy agreement you will be liable for the after hours call out fees and charges.
If you repair is classed as urgent - then you will need to call

Moving Out Process and Notice Periods
- If your lease has expired - you are liable to give 21 days written notice.
- If your lease is about to expire - then you are liable to give at least 14 days notice within the last 14 days of your lease expiry date.
- If you need to break you lease - then you will be liable for break of lease fees, rent up till a new tenant is found – so you will need to give us as much notice as possible in order for us to act in your best interest and find a new tenant to take over your lease agreement. .
All vacating notices should be emailed to emma@infinityproperty.com.au and she will advise you accordingly with rental amounts owing and your next steps.
Once you have given notice to move out of your rented premises you will be required to make the property available for the agent to show prospective tenants. Reasonable notice will be provided to you.
Before you move out you will also need to:
- Disconnect electricity/gas
- Disconnect phone/Foxtel etc
- Re-direct your mail Australia Post 13 13 18
- Book in the lift or advise your building manager for some buildings
(please check with your Property Manager if you are unsure)
- Make a time with your Property Manager for the final inspection
- Provide your account details and forwarding address for your bond refund
